Your questions answered in our new weekly livestream
Want to learn more about Fort Lewis College’s majors and initiatives? FLC Live!, a new weekly livestream on Facebook, is your chance to ask questions to faculty, students, and other experts.
“FLC Live! will give people access to what’s happening on campus,” says FLC’s Director of Digital Communication Lindsay Nyquist. “Each week, we will have a different panel of experts representing a different department or area of campus. The greatest part is that we’ll have two-way communication. People can write in questions and we will answer them live on screen.”
The first two months of FLC Live! are already scheduled, so you can see which topics interest you most. Upcoming livestreams include looks at the Physics & Engineering Department, the School of Business Administration, and the FLC name change consideration.
Whatever stake you hold in Fort Lewis College, these livestreams are meant for you.
“We’d love to hear from the community and alumni,” Nyquist says. “We know prospective students and their families have a lot of questions, and this is one more way to get them answered. Anybody who’s interested can log in and ask questions.”
FLC Live! takes place on Thursdays at 4 p.m. Mountain Time. If you like the Fort Lewis College Facebook page, a notification will pop up when the live stream begins. And if you miss the livestream, it’ll be posted on Facebook to check out at your convenience.
“This format gives us a chance to try something new and fun,” Nyquist says. “That’s what’s cool about social media. We can be pretty experimental.”
Which means, if there’s a topic or a department you want to hear more about, let us know!
“This serves our prospective students, families, alumni, and anyone who is curious about what FLC is about,” Nyquist says. “But it’s your game. You can let us know what you want to see, and we’ll try to make that happen.”
