The Colorado Commission on Higher Education named our Chemistry & Biochemistry Department a Program of Excellence, recognizing our program as one of the best in the state. We rank in the National Science Foundation’s top 20% for the number of graduates who go on to earn a Ph.D. in chemistry.
Our program adheres to the ACS Guidelines for Bachelor's Degree Programs. It also offers certification by the American Chemical Society for students completing the ACS-certified curriculum and accreditation by the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology for the biochemistry degree program.
You can think critically about challenging issues, solve problems creatively, and collaborate with effective communication and analytical skills. You know this, and your Biochemistry major demonstrates it. You will be able to apply the tools, methods, and knowledge to address material problems in your career in biochemistry.
