Monday, June 5, 2023 1089 Featured Stories Centura Health Sports Performance Center Over the next academic year, Fort Lewis College is making yet another stride in health and performance facility development with the support of Centura Mercy Hospital, the premier medical provider of the Four Corners region. In early 2023, Centura Health, the Official Sports Medicine Partner of FLC Athletics, committed $4 million as a lead gift to the FLC Foundation and FLC to kickstart renovation of the existing Aquatics Center. The Centura Sports Performance Center will be another state-of-the-art facility designed to provide innovative performance, rehabilitation, nutrition, and wellness programs and equipment for all involved. The Center will create 10,000 square feet of student-centered pathways for FLC, from alleviating capacity issues at the current Student Life Center to playing an essential role in recruiting and retaining high-caliber student-athletes. It will house strength and conditioning equipment, athletic training, and physical therapy amenities, including on-campus training and recovery guided by Mercy Sports Medicine providers and renowned sports medicine and orthopedic treatment expertise.
