Academic year research opportunities at FLC
Undergraduate research allows students to gain critical skills, and we encourage all interested students to seek out opportunities to work in one of our research labs. The Department has recently started a First Year Research Experience program that compensates declared majors for their time and allows them to explore a one-on-one mentored research experience in their second semester on campus.
Research during the academic year is open to all students from the first year to the senior year. Some funded as well as upper-division course credit opportunities exist. Please ask your chemistry and biochemistry faculty advisor for more information.
