The Equity Transfer Initiative awards up to $27,500 to advance transfer pathways between San Juan College and FLC and increase transfer and completion for underrepresented student populations.

Launched in the early 2000s, the Colorado State Library’s Historic Newspapers Collection has been slowly adding historic newspapers from across the state to its anthology, including publications from FLC as far back as 1896.

Peter R. Decker was a staunch supporter of Fort Lewis College, serving as one of the first trustees when the board became independent in 2002. Decker died on December 12, 2020 at age 86.
