Your first step will be to meet with an Admission Counselor. Once accepted as a First-year student, talk to a Teacher Education department advisor as soon as you can. Review the course catalog so you can plan to take the right courses at the right time.

Roadmap for Transfer Students (Junior-Senior)

Your first step will be to meet with an Admissions Counselor, who can help with initial course planning. At this time, the FLC Registrar will review your transcript to determine which credits from your prior school can transfer here. To research what courses will be accepted:

When you have been accepted to FLC, you will be assigned a faculty advisor in your first semester. Contact the Teacher Education Department to set up a meeting. Review the course catalog so you can plan to take the right courses at the right time.

This program will build your proficiency in reading, writing, math, social studies and science content preparation and give you hands-on experience teaching students in those content areas in Kindergarten through 6th grades. After completing all the program requirements, you will graduate with a B.A. in Elementary Education and obtain your Colorado Elementary Education License.
