Our planet's biodiversity has inspired human thought in every discipline, study, and art since prehistory. In this course, we’ll explore the overwhelming variety of ways in which different animals thrive, inviting students to explore their unique passions and skills.

We encounter differences every day—race, politics, faith, gender. In this course, explore research-based strategies for building understanding across those divides. Learn how to navigate difficult conversations, foster inclusion, and connect with others—even when disagreeing.

The planet that we live on is a hazardous place! You'll explore why and where hazards, like earthquakes, volcanoes, or tsunamis, happen, and you'll have a chance to flex your creative muscles to design a good (or bad) disaster story that involves a hazard of your choice.

This course introduces students to criminology and criminal law, exploring concepts of crime, justice systems, and their societal impacts. Students will uncover various career paths in criminal justice, law enforcement, and legal studies through discussions and case studies. The course emphasizes critical thinking, ethical considerations, and the influential role of criminology in shaping society.
