This space, last updated in the summer of 2024, features a QSC touch screen controller that handles the projectors, PC, audio options, and camera control all with an easy to use touch display mounted on the sturdy new podium at the front of the room. Facing the students there is an 86" touch screen, flanked on both sides by a whiteboard. Instead of rows of individual desks, this space makes use of pods where several students can all sit and interact at a table. At the back of the room hang two 43" LG TVs that display the same thing as the main touch screen.
Q-SYS is a programmable AV Control platform. The CATS team has two Q-SYS certified AV engineers on staff, allowing us to troubleshoot, redesign, and adapt the room's control panel.
Starting with Schlessman in 2023, Q-SYS has become the new standard system for controlling the equipment in the teaching space.
The NC 110 is a wide-angle camera that is typically installed at the front of the classroom to capture the view of the students.
The camera can be controlled by the Q-SYS Touch Screen Controller found on the podium. The camera should default to a wide view, but allows for digital panning, tilting, and Zooming.
