This space, last overhauled in the summer of 2025, has a QSC control touch screen mounted on a new podium allowing for easy screen; volume, and camera control. There are four separate white boards in this space. Three of them mounted on the left and right walls, and one on wheels. Along with the white boards there are five TVs in the room. One of them being an 86" touch screen, and the other four 55" screens having been mounted at its own table pod equipped with their own control touch screen. There is a long table in the middle of the space for more cooperative work. Mounted atop the touch TV is a small Network Camera, and on the far wall hangs a QSC controlled PTZ camera. Mounted above the long table is a Microphone bar, making this classroom fully Zoom and Skyflex capable.
Q-SYS is a programmable AV Control platform. The CATS team has two Q-SYS certified AV engineers on staff, allowing us to troubleshoot, redesign, and adapt the room's control panel.
Starting with Schlessman in 2023, Q-SYS has become the new standard system for controlling the equipment in the teaching space.
The NC 110 is a wide-angle camera that is typically installed at the front of the classroom to capture the view of the students.
The camera can be controlled by the Q-SYS Touch Screen Controller found on the podium. The camera should default to a wide view, but allows for digital panning, tilting, and Zooming.
