This space, last overhauled in 2026, is outfitted with a button mounted to the New podium that allows for easy switching from PC to Laptop input for the projectors. Facing the students is a large wall-spanning whiteboard on which the room's two standard projectors can display. Mounted at the back of the room is an Aver camera controlled by a remote left up at the podium. There is a long necked microphone, making this space fully Zoom capable. 

Classroom technology

AVer TR530 PTZ Camera

The AVer TR530 PTZ camera is USB connected to the classroom PC for use in video conferencing applications such as Zoom. The camera has pan, tilt, and zoom capability which are controlled with a touch panel or a remote. They do have a simple tracking feature that can be enabled or disabled.

  • To enable tracking, the touch panel might have a button to toggle the tracking feature, but you can also use the button on the remote.
  • Blue light on the front indicates the camera is powered on.
  • An Orange light indicates the camera is off.

New Podiums

With Schlessman Family Hall, the CATS team has been able to start constructing our own modern podiums using the QSYS AV system. The newest podiums come in two sizes:

  • Deluxe Podium
