In 2011, Fort Lewis College in conjunction with Western Center for Risk Management Education began a program: Managing Risk with Food Safety Education and Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) Implementation. This project utilized proactive producer education to address food safety liability that market garden producers encounter while direct marketing their product. We included traditional workshops, on-farm workshops, online training opportunities and access to educational materials.
Final results from the project are available. Select Materials to view all of the educational resources.
